GVI 'Children of the Sun' Holiday school

Here in Fiji it is now school holidays until the 5th of September. Today, the Tovuto base team launched a holiday school program that will run for the next two weeks across four villages. We will be spending 2 days with the children of each village running a nomadic childcare program. Today we were met by 40 children at Nacula Community Hall. By 9:30am we had an energetic group of all age groups involved with a variety of different activities - soccer practice, Frisbee, drawing, face painting, dancing, story time, rounders, jewelry making to name a few! The day was a great success judging by the smiles and laughter and the team was thanked with a traditional lunch provided by village parents. The children are very excited for our return tomorrow.
